One of the core objectives of the Federation is "To promote and uphold a high standard of knowledge and professional efficiency among Air Traffic Controllers". To achieve this, the Federation conducts several educational initiatives, one of which is training workshops on various topics of importance. The Federation also produces some guidance material which can be found in the Guidance Material section. Workshops currently available or under planning for the near future are:

 

Think Safety

The Federation's most effective tool for expanding awareness of just culture and a core understanding of systemic safety concepts. This workshop is for 3 days and designed for audiences of approximately 30 people. Participants can be from any part of the air traffic management system, and is particulalry effective for supervisors and management of air traffic control personnel.

While we can all agree that digitalisation fundamentally changes our society, nobody knows what will happen to Air Traffic Control and Air Traffic Management. In 2018, IFATCA hosted the first of a possible series of workshops that looks at the challenge ahead. Information from those sessions can be found here.
