Executive Vice-President Finance - Darrell Meachum |
The IFATCA Executive Vice President - Finance is
responsible for all funds of the Federation. 
Directors elected Mr. Meachum as IFATCA EVP-F at the Punta
Cana Annual Conference in April 2010. Mr. Meachum continues
to build on the work of his predecessors by establishing
sound book-keeping programs, maintaining strong financial
reserves, and promoting financial transparency.
Mr. Meachum serves IFATCA and its Member Associations by
working to further the Federation's goals and objectives on
every front; not just within his particular area of
jurisdiction. Mr. Meachum promotes tactical and strategic
planning on matters of import to all MAs, and he is
particularly interested in the EB focusing on issues
affecting category 2 and 3 MAs.
Mr. Meachum is currently retired after nearly 29 years as an
Air Traffic Controller at Fort Worth Air Route Traffic
Control Center (ARTCC) in Fort Worth, TX USA. He served in
several leadership positions within the National Air Traffic
Controller Association (NATCA) in the USA; the latest as
NATCA Regional Vice President, Southwest Region and a member
of the NATCA National Executive Board, from 1 September 2003
to 31 August 2009. Mr. Meachum has an extensive background
in negotiations, advocacy, education, and strategic
planning. He founded and remains a Director of the NATCA
Charitable Foundation. Mr. Meachum was also rated as a
commercial pilot and Certified Flight Instructor –
Instrument, Multi-Engine in 1979.
