Executive Vice-President Europe - Željko Oreški |
As the Executive Vice-President Europe I am responsible for
the liaison between all 46 European membership associations
and the
Federation.
Furthermore I oversee the activities in this region and
coordinate the One Sky Team, a team of IFATCA
representatives attending workshops, consultation meetings
and conferences held by major international organizations
and agencies. I assist associations by providing information
and advice when required.

In
1992 I completed an
eight-semester course of university studies in Air Traffic
and Air Transport
Engineering for a degree. I acquired university
qualifications and professional title of
Graduate Transport
Engineer.
In
1993 I completed a 25
week aviation
specialist training course to become an
Air Traffic Controller. In 1996
I completed
On-the-Job Training for
Non Radar Air
Traffic Controller License.
In
1997
I completed a Course
of Instruction in Area Radar Control in Serco-IAL
Limited Bailbrook College, Bath, England.
in
2000 I
completed On-the-Job
Training for Area Radar Air Traffic Controller License.
In
2003
I
completed the ATM
qualification course
On – The – Job Training Instructor by Deutsche
Flugsicherung in class of Course Manager Mr. Kevin Salter
(our Corporate Affairs Editor in The Controller magazine).
I became
Deputy Head of ACC Zagreb
on the
1st of January 2007. I am responsible for
the roster
for 186 Air Traffic Controllers and other Aeronautical
Staff.
In
October 2008, I started
to study for Doctoral Degree and I became
PhD Candidate
since then. Plan is to finish degree
in
2011.
My
engagement in professional association work began in 2003
when I joined the Executive Board of CROATCA as President.
Holding this position in the subsequent years I have my
second four years term till next year. I attend IFATCA
conferences since 2004 and became increasingly involved in
the last 4 years. Last year I was Deputy Chairman of
Organizing Committee of 48th Annual IFATCA Conference in
Dubrovnik. I was elected EVP Europe in Punta Cana in 2010
for a term of 2 years.
I am a
Croatian national and live in Samobor/Croatia.
I
fully agree to be responsible for future organisation
of how we will work within our fast changing European
region. I am very happy to have the most experienced and
capable associates with their involvement in SESAR, EASA,
SES II, Social Dialogue, FABs as experts and coordinators.
It is
most important that we continue to work more flexible and
efficient with re-arrangement of our teams.
All of you
can
count on my full commitment to the Federation and you can be
sure that I will be your partner, but I also want to have as
many as possible associates among you.
